Once you have a post that you’re ready to schedule to go live on your site, you will want to go into the document settings for the post, and under Status & visibility, we would want to click the word Immediately next to Publish.

This will bring up a small calendar where you can customize when you would like the post to go live or you can set the date to the past to have it show as published at a previous date. If you have an SEO plugin or similar you may have a notification that you are scheduling the post instead of publishing it as well.

Should you be using the classic editor, in the top-right of a post there should be a similar interface where you can edit Immediately to the date of your preference.

If your posts are not going live when you plan them to then don’t forget to check under Settings, General as that is where you set the time zone that your site is using.

Lastly, if you prefer you can save as a draft to unschedule the post so you can set it to go live once you are ready.

For this guide, we will first want to go to the tweet we are wanting to copy. There should either be a dropdown arrow in the top right of the tweet or you can click on the time of the tweet to go directly to that tweet’s page.

Copy the link from the top of the page and go to your WordPress admin area. Dy default, if you add the link to your content on a separate line it should automatically create the embed.

For another method using the default Block editor, we will add the Twitter block, this should bring up a block where we can add the twitter URL and click the embed button to generate the embed.

How To Make Links Open in New Tab or Window with WordPress

Do you want to open links from your blog posts in a new window? Opening external links in a new window will give you the ability to link to different sites without your visitors leaving your site. For adding a link in the Block/Gutenberg editor, you would want to highlight the text and click the insert link button. This will bring up a box where you can add a URL to your text and if you click the down arrow to the right of the link box it should bring up additional options, one of which would be to open the link in a new tab.

If you’re using the classic editor, when you click the add link button it will bring up a similar interface to what happens in the block editor and you will instead click the cog/gear icon. This should bring up a window where you can click the checkbox for opening the link in the new window.

If you wanted to manually create the link that opens in a new tab then you can open the text in the text editor and add a link the same way we did previously. It will set up the link with the correct tags that you can copy and the specific section you would need to copy would be the rel=’noopener’. When you add that to any link that you edit using HTML it should open the link in a new window.

If you wanted all external links to open on a new window then you could also install and activate the ‘External Links in New Window/New Tab’ plugin below:

By default, any image added to one of your posts has a URL that can be used on social media or other location on your site. From the front end of the site, you can right-click an image on the site and select ‘Open image in new tab’ from the options.

The other option you can use would be to log into the wp-admin area of your site and go into the Media section. There, you can search for the title of the image and your site will pull up any image with that name. Once you select the image you should see the information of the image in a pop up that has the URL on the right-hand side.

For the first method to do this, you would want to go to your post you want to revert, go into the document settings, and scroll down to the revision section. Once you click the revisions section it should bring up the default revision editor where you can see the previous versions of the article with the option to revert to the previous version.

There is also the checkbox in the top-right of the revisions screen to compare revisions, when you check that option you will see the two revisions side by side for you to choose which one to use. You will not be able to choose the revision if it is what is currently set on the content as there would be nothing to change.

If you would like to change the number of revisions allowed on your site, you would want to take a look at the recommendations in our article below:

Once you install and activate the plugin, you can go under Settings, Simple Comment Editing to customize the settings. The setting that is offered by default would be how long users have to edit or delete their comments and for this, we would recommend a value of 30 or less.

Written Article: https://www.wpbeginner.com/wp-tutorials/how-to-remove-the-date-from-wordpress-urls/

Before making any changes we will warn you that if your site is currently getting traffic from different sources that you will need to create redirects to prevent any issues with your site. If you are just starting your site and are not receiving traffic then you wouldn’t need to worry as much about the redirects.

To change your permalinks you would want to go under Settings, Permalinks in your wp-admin area. Here you will be able to select the permalink style and we will be selecting post name. If you are a brand new site then this is all you need, for already set up sites you would want to set up redirects.

For this process we will be using the Redirection plugin below:

https://wordpress.org/plugins/redirection/

Once the plugin is installed and activated, you will go under Tools, Redirection to set up the plugin. We will skip the options for monitoring and logging changes at the moment and you can enable those later should you want.

To add a new redirect and to prevent any formatting issues we would recommend copying them from our article below:

https://www.wpbeginner.com/wp-tutorials/how-to-remove-the-date-from-wordpress-urls/

Depending on the redirects you want to set up you can decide which would be best for you in our article below.
