How to Create a Simple Quiz to Increase Sales On Your Site

Are you wanting to add a simple quiz to help drive conversions on your site? A quiz or questionnaire can help guide your users to the product on your site that suits their needs best. In this video, we will show you how to create a simple quiz to increase sales on your site.

This video brought to you by OptinMonster, the best Lead-generation plugin plugin available, take a look at their site here:

=================================
https://optinmonster.com/
=================================

For our discount use the code: WPBVIP

For this tutorial, we will be using OptinMonster which we recommend above, don’t forget to use our discount code to reduce the cost of your purchase.

Once you have your OptinMonster account set up, we will want to create a new campaign and for this guide, we will be creating an Inline campaign, and the design we will be using is called Report. Name your campaign and click Start Building to begin creating with OptinMonster.

For this quiz, we will be starting with a Yes/No view for the start of the process and customize it how we’re wanting. In this case, we will be adding multiple buttons and deciding to have them send the users to the Optin, if you would prefer you can send the user elsewhere.

On the Optin page, we give the option to say yes or no to the user and for simplicity, we directed both to the success page but you can redirect them to a different page should you like.

With the campaign set up how you want, you will want to ensure the status is updated to live on the OptinMonster site. As we are using WordPress we will go under Plugins, Add New and search for the OptinMonster plugin to install and activate it on your site. In the OptinMonster Settings, connect your account to see the optins created on your account. For adding it in your content you will want to go to the post/page and search for the OptinMonster Campaign block where you would select the campaign from a dropdown to add it to your site.

Choosing the right membership plugin is crucial for your business because a better platform means more ability for growth. This video is sponsored by MonsterInsights, a powerful plugin to help you use your analytics information to the fullest, take a look at MonsterInsights here:

=================================
https://www.monsterinsights.com/
=================================

For our discount, use our code: WPBVIP

Our first recommendation is MemberPress. It is one of the largest and most robust membership solution at the moment, it also sets up many of the required pages for a membership site for you to make the process very straight forward. There are even options for content dripping, different access controls, integrations with popular email services, and even multiple types of gateways. You can find the plugin and apply any discounts we may have negotiated using our affiliate/referral link below:

https://www.wpbeginner.com/refer/memberpress/

Second would be LearnDash, it’s a very flexible LMS plugin. This allows you to easily create classes, lessons, or other learning resources for your users. Pre-built in are the options to create quizes, add badges, course specific forums, and other education related needs. You can find LearnDash and apply any discounts we have negotiated using our referral/affilaite link below:

https://www.wpbeginner.com/refer/learndash/

Teachable is another powerful option available for a membership plugin. There is the negative that this is not a WordPress plugin and it is instead its own builder. It is a powerful course builder that you can place on a subdomain for your site and have pre-built tools to help you get up and running. You can find Teachable and apply any discounts we have negotiated using our referral/affilaite link below:

https://www.wpbeginner.com/refer/teachable/

Restrict Content Pro is another contender for a great membership plugin to consider. This is built by the same people behind plugins like Easy Digital Downloads so you know it’s a good company behind it and has many different payment integrations. You can find Restrict Content Pro and apply any discounts we have negotiated using our referral/affilaite link below:

https://www.wpbeginner.com/refer/restrict-content-pro/

S2Member is the final recommendation we have in our list. The main issue is that for beginners it can be quite difficult to properly set up. Other than that it is a powerful option for an alternative. You can find S2Member and apply any discounts we have negotiated using our referral/affilaite link below:

https://www.wpbeginner.com/refer/s2member/

How to Easily Accept Credit Card Payments on Your WordPress Site

Do you want to add the option to accept credit card payments on your WordPress site? By default WordPress does not have a method for accepting payments on your site and most solutions are for ecommerce stores or similar. This makes it difficult for smaller sites to collect smaller payments for one time or limited option purchases. In this video, we’ll show you how to accept credit card payments on your WordPress site.

This video brought to you by WPForms, the most beginner friendly WordPress form plugin, take a look at their site here:

0:53 Setting up WPForms
2:18 Adding Payment Options
3:00 Connecting Stripe
3:57 Creating a New Form
8:18 Adding Form to Page
9:16 Testing the Form

In this video we’ll be using WPForms which you can purchase using the link above. Install and activate the plugin, add your licence key, and go to the WPForms Addons area to enable the Stripe addon for your forms.

Under WPForms Settings, Payments you can connect to your Stripe account and it will require a second connection when setting your stripe account into test mode for testing the form.

Next, we create a form that we would like to include on our site. We start with a billing/order form to have most of the fields set up for us. We will customize the available items to be what we want and set their prices. You have the option to show or hide the prices in a checkbox belwo and the total will reflect what is chosen.

Add the Stripe Credit Card field to the form to be able to accept the payments and go through the form settings to ensure the payment, notifications, and confirmations are set up how you are wanting.

Save the form and click the embed opion and you can select the page you would like to embed the form in. Add the WPForms block and you should now be able to test it with Stripe to ensure it works properly. Don’t forget to take your form out of test mode to start receiving payments.

For the first method, we will be adding a link to download the file. You would want to start by uploading the PDF to either your WordPress media library or a file upload site, in this tutorial we will be uploading to WordPress directly.

For WordPress, we will click edit after uploading the file and copy the file URL. Next, we will go to the post or page we would like the file to be included on and paste the URL in the editor or, how we handle it in the guide, add a link to some of our text that when clicked will go to the download page. Now when the user goes to that link it will pull up the PDF with the option to download at the top of the page.

For the second method, we will be using a plugin called PDF Embedder found below:

https://wordpress.org/plugins/pdf-embedder/

With the plugin installed and activated, you can go under Settings, PDF Embedder to set up andy specific customizations you would like for the embed on your site.

When you visit the post or page you would like to have your embed on you will now have the option to use a PDF Embedder block, select a file in your media library or upload a new file to embed. Now when you go to a post or page with your embed there will be an on page embed with the PDF content on your site.

What’s Coming in WordPress 5.5

Are you getting ready for the WordPress 5.5 release and not sure that to expect? This will be the second major WordPress release this year and has many new features and improvements. In this video, we’ll show you what’s coming in WordPress 5.5 and walk you through them.

This video brought to you by WPForms, the most beginner friendly WordPress form plugin, take a look at their site here:

=================================
https://wpforms.com/wpbeginner
=================================

For our discount visit: https://WPForms.com/wpbeginner

0:00 Introduction
0:29 Block Improvements
0:52 Block Directory
1:21 Pattern Directory
2:02 Improved Block Movement
2:27 Image Editing
3:02 Lazy Loading Images
3:24 Auto Update Plugins
3:38 Sitemaps
5:01 Upload to Update Plugins

The first update is WordPress has improved the clarity of the blocks in the editor. There are now clear separations between the different block choices so you know the specific block you’re choosing.

WordPress has also introduced the block directory, this will allow you to search through all of the available blocks and if there isn’t one available by default, the search will allow you to easily add one from a plugin or other tool.

Patterns have also been added and these are limited at the moment but will expand as it gets more popular. These are pre-designed blocks to help you get started with setting up a specific design.

The Block editor will also allow you to more easily navigate between the different blocks in your content editor. There is now an arrow navigation and an extra button for selecting the parent element as well. Now when you edit a post and need to use WordPress’ image editing you can do that in the post itself.

If you have a plugin you prefer and don’t want to keep checking for any updates then you can go into your admin area under Plugins, Installed plugins, and on the right-hand side, there is now a link for each plugin to enable automatic updates.

WordPress has started enabling sitemaps by default to help with Search Engines but if you’re using a plugin like Yoast or All In One SEO then you don’t have to worry as those will override and show their sitemaps to prevent any interruptions.

To help speed up sites, WordPress has enabled lazy loading, this means that images are only downloaded once your user’s screen is where the image would be displayed. A ‘loading’ attribute tag will be added to the image and is supported by all browsers other than Safari.

Lastly, for premium plugins that you have to manually upload to your site, WordPress has added the ability that the plugin will be updated rather than running into any updates if the plugin is already installed.
