We will create a new form under WPForms, Add New we will create a billing/order form which if you do not have them set up, WPForms will remind you to set up the payment provider options.

Add the items you would like to offer your users to the form using the different form fields available. Once you have your orders set up you can include a payment field depending on your offerings and in the settings you should be able to connect PayPal or Stripe to your site.

For this tutorial we will be using Formidable Forms, you can find them using our referral link below which should offer you the best deal available that we have negotiated with them:

https://www.wpbeginner.com/refer/formidable-pro/

With the plugin installed, activated, and your license key added we can start working on the form. We’ll go under Formidable Forms, Create Form and we will start off with the basic contact form for a base. We will add website/URL fields for the site of the restaurant being added. There are other tools and choices for what information you would like to include for the different restaurants.

We will create a page for the form to appear on first so there is a method to add to your list of restaurants. Then we will go back to Formidable Forms and edit our Restaraunt form and modify the Views to the way we want it to be displayed on the site. We have a modified version of the code below that you can modify to fit your needs.

Now we can create another new page and add a Formidable View to list the added restaurants. Now when a restaurant is added you should see it included on your view page. To ensure your visitors can find the page you would want to add the new pages to your menu under Appearance, Menus.

WooCommerce is the most popular eCommerce platform and for small and large businesses to create an online store. Once you have a WooCommerce store set up you’ll be ready to start offering gift cards. For this guide we will be using the PW WooCommerce Gift Cards plugin here:

https://wordpress.org/plugins/pw-woocommerce-gift-cards/

When activated you would go under Products, Add New to create the gift card product. Once created you would want to scroll down to Product Data and select the PW Gift Card as the type and add the amounts you want your users to be able to purchase. Now when a user views the product they should be able to select an amount, who to send it to and the from information as with a normal card or email.

For a second option, you can use WPForms who we mentioned above to build an online gift card order form. When the pro version of WPForms is set up, go under Addons and install the Form Templates Pack addon to have some pre-built templates added to your WPForms and we would want to use the Gift Card Order Form template when creating a new form. Ensure you install a payment gateway if you want your users to purchase the gift card instead of only requesting one.

If you’re looking to sell gift cards on multiple different platforms or even possibly physical cards then we would recommend taking a look at Gift Up below:

https://www.giftupapp.com/

It’s a gift card platform that you would need to sign up for to their platform and customize the gift card you want users to be sent. You will then be given the option to either embed the purchase option on your site or give a link to a checkout on Gift Up’s site or even share the purchase on social media.

How to Create a Separate Page for Blog Posts in WordPress

Are you wanting to set up a separate page for blog posts on your WordPress site? WordPress normally will list your posts on the homepage of your site but not all sites want to list their posts on the first page their visitors would see. In this article, we will show you how to easily create a separate page for blog posts in WordPress.

2:55 How to add the blog page to your menu area
3:52 How to change your home page layout
4:34 How to customize your home page using Beaver Builder

Start by ensuring you have a page you would like as your home page published on your site as well as a page, normally empty, that would be replaced by a list of your most recent posts.

Next, you will want to go under Settings, Reading and change the homepage display settings to a Static page. For the Homepage you would set the page you would want to appear when someone goes directly to your URL. Set the Posts page to where you would like your blog posts to appear there. Not all themes have the same settings so if you do not see this, you would want to check under Appearance, Customize.

With the page changes set, you would want to add them to your menu as they are not automatically added to your menu. Under Appearance, Menus you should see the two pages you set have text next to them noting which one is the posts page and which one is the front page.

Depending on your theme, if you edit the page there is a page template for specifically the home page you can set when editing the page itself. Other themes you would want to take a look under Appearance, Customize for custom settings. If neither of these are options, we would recommend taking a look at Beaver Builder to customize your site’s display.

We have our referral link below you can use to receive any discounts we have negotiated with them as an affiliate partner so they are automatically applied to your purchase.

What’s Coming in WordPress 5.4

WordPress 5.4 is planned to be released soon and will be the first major release of the year with some significant improvements. We’ve been keeping an eye on the development and the new features that are on the way to improve the block editor. In this video, we’ll show you what’s coming in WordPress 5.4 so you can be prepared and use the new features to your advantage.

This video brought to you by RafflePress, the best WordPress giveaway plugin available, take a look at their site here:

=================================
https://rafflepress.com/
=================================

For our discount use the code: WPBVIP

The features that are being focused on with this update are for the block editor by adding new features and extending the existing blocks that are available. To get it started, there will be a new welcome guide popup to introduce users to the block editor that explains blocks, points them to how to get to the block library and a link to a tutorial about the block editor.

One popular block that people wanted was the Social block that allows you to easily include links to your social media profiles inside your WordPress posts and pages. This will let you link toward your social profiles but if you wanted users to share your posts then you would still need a social plugin. For adding a social share button to your post/page you would want to take a look at our list of recommended social plugins here:

https://www.wpbeginner.com/plugins/best-social-media-plugins-for-wordpress/

The button block has been updated and renamed to buttons (plural) and added the ability to add multiple buttons together where you have different gradients and background colors as well.

More color options have been added to all blocks to give customizations for your different blocks for your background colors and text colors. This includes the text block as well as the columns block.

For some updates for quality of life, WordPress has returned the drag and drop interface to allow you to easily drop the image you want to be set for the featured image on your post. If you highlight a part of the text to select it you should be able to use the dropdown arrow and add a text color to that specific text as you were able to previously with the classic editor.

Tables have added a caption section to give your users a section beneath the table where you can add any notes about your specific table that users should know about. Galleries have included a built-in image size selector to give the power to select the image size and the mobile editor now has the editing toolbar at the top of the window.

Back to new features, The latest post block has been given tools to display images and other helpful information instead of only the title. The editor has added the option to select the blocks you want to change to help reduce issues with nested blocks. Finally, for users who enjoy TikTok, a built-in embedder has been added to the available blocks.

How to Clean up Your WordPress Media Library 2 Easy Methods

Do you want to clean up your WordPress media library? WordPress makes different dimensions of your images so they are available for the different locations you could place them with your theme. You also do not remove the images that were in a post of yours when you remove that post. In this video, we will show you how to clean up your WordPress media library with two different methods.

This video is sponsored by MonsterInsights, a powerful plugin to help you use your analytics information to the fullest, take a look at MonsterInsights here:

=================================
https://www.monsterinsights.com/
=================================

For our discount, use our code: WPBVIP

For the first method we will cover, we will be using the Media Cleaner plugin that you can find using the link below:

https://wordpress.org/plugins/media-cleaner/

Once activated you would go under Media, Cleaner to have the plugin analyze your site’s media library and find any unused images. Depending on how many images your site has this can take some time for larger sites. The plugin will create a list of images it feels are not being used and you will have the choice of removing the images from your site or not.

For our second recommendation, we will be using the Media Deupper plugin found here:

https://www.mediadeduper.com/

With Media Deupper installed you would want to go under Media, Manage Duplicates and click on the Index Media button to analyze your media library. It should pull up a list of duplicate images used on your site for you to delete. Select the files you want or all the files and in the bulk action dropdown select Smart Delete and click apply.

How to Create a Coupon Popup in WordPress

Are you wanting to create a coupon popup in WordPress? These coupon popups are a great way to convert your site’s visitors into paying customers. There are multiple ways to make a coupon popup but showing the coupon at the right time can make a huge difference in converting abandoning visitors into customers. In this guide, we will show you how to create a coupon popup in WordPress.

This video brought to you by OptinMonster, the best Lead-generation plugin plugin available, take a look at their site here:

=================================
https://optinmonster.com/
=================================

For our discount use the code: WPBVIP

For this tutorial, we will be using OptinMonster to create two types of coupon popups. One a normal popup and the second being a spin a wheel coupon.

To start you would want to visit the OptinMonster site to create an account after which you would install and activate the WordPress plugin to make sure you add the popups to your site.

Log into OptinMonster’s site and click the Create New Campaign button, for this first campaign we will be creating a Popup campaign. There are many types of pre-built styles to choose from and preview but for this, we will use the Coupon template. Then set the specific site you would like to load the popup on.

Customize the text, colors, and anything else you would like to customize there are many customization options available, we did not go through everything in this video to not overwhelm new users. Make sure to save the changes in the popup then decide through what method you want to share the coupon code.

We would recommend sending it through OptinMonster’s Success view and by email newsletter so the user has multiple chances to remember the coupon code. By default, it should use the Success view but you have options to change that in the button settings.

For Exit-Intent you will want to go to the Display Rules tab to customize when the popup will be displayed. We want it to change it to exit detected and on the next step, you would want to remain an Optin. Lastly, on the Publish tab, you would want to set the optin as Live for it to appear on your site based on your settings rather than it remaining a draft.

Now when you log into your WordPress site with the OptinMonster plugin installed you will be able to go to your Campaigns and enable the campaign in the plugin as well as decide who should see the campaign when they visit your site.

For creating a spin to win campaign we will create a new campaign and specify it as Fullscreen. We can filter the options and we want to select one of the wheel templates.

The template will allow you to choose different colors for sections of the wheel as well as editing the specific sections’ chance to happen. You can customize when and how it displays and once you have all of that set you want to publish the optin and make it live on your site for your visitors to see.
