Summary of this tutorial:

For creating your contact form, you would first want to decide on a form plugin. For that purpose we recommend WPForms:

https://wordpress.org/plugins/wpforms-lite/

With the plugin selected you would want to add it under Plugins, Add New. Search for WPForms and click to install and activate the plugin.

When starting with WPForms you would go under WPForms, Add New to begin creating a form. Add the name for the form and select Simple Contact Form as that is what we are wanting to add to the site.

You will be given options for different fields you can add or you can leave it with the default fields as they are already set up with some of the standard fields with a contact form.

Each has some customization options on the left once selected for letting you change the title of it and a few other options.

You can add the shortcode to a post or page by visiting the page editor and there will be a new add form button. Select the form you created and then click add form to insert the shortcode for you.

Should you want the form in a widget you can use the WPForms widget that allows you to select the form for you to add and then save.

Summary of this tutorial:

First thing you want to decide is where you want to add your email link, either in a post, page or another location.

For a post or a page you will start the same way you add a normal link by highlighting the text and clicking the add/edit link in the editor.

For the email link you would add ‘mailto:’ to the front of the email address and that will become a valid link for sending an email on click.

If you want to add the link in a widget or sidebar, we would recommend doing the above and then going to the text view of your editor. From here you could copy the entire tag and your text for you to use in the widget.

With that copied you would go under Appearance, Widgets and paste the code into a text widget for the link to be useable from your widget.

While this is something you can use we would not recommend it as it makes it more likely that your email will have spam sent to it. For preventing the spam we would recommend a form plugin like WPForms to allow your users to get in touch with you without the concern of a publically visible email address.

Once activated under Settings, Duplicate Post you can customize the plugin settings to how you want them.

Go to Posts, All posts and there will be a new link to clone a post or create a new draft.

Summary of this tutorial:

You will want to start by finding the phpMyAdmin for your localhost, most of the time it is localhost/phpmyadmin

The standard login information for that MySQL page is root with no password.

When you log in you will want to go to your WordPress database and find the wp_users table.

There will now be a list of users that are on your site and you will want to click edit next to the user of your choice.

You will then select the user_pass section, remove the random number and letter combination, and fill in the password in the field.

After that you need to select the MD5 in the ‘function’ column and then click the Go button at the bottom to save your changes.

You should now be able to log in to your localhost using your new password.
